Our Facilitators
All of our facilitators are top-level, accredited professionals with years of experience in their areas of interest. Their materials and approaches constantly evolve, to take advantage of new delivery techniques and new concepts.

Kara Thompson
Owner and Facilitator
Kara is the owner, and a facilitator for Three E Training. Her public service background and entrepreneurial background, makes her a perfect fit for public sector training.
She is a practicing procurement lawyer with 20 years of experience.
Kara provides legal and consulting advice on complex procurement transactions, as well as acting as fairness monitor on public procurements. Kara is known for her ability to take complex procurement issues, and convey them in a practical and relatable way for participants.
As a previous government employee herself, with 14 years as in-house procurement counsel experience for Alberta Justice, Kara can relate to the challenges public sector participants face.
Her comprehensive knowledge of outcome-based public sector procurement practice, and familiarity with government business practice, ensures that her public-sector focussed training is relevant and responsive.
Providing strategic legal solutions to public sector clients on complex contract issues, make her adept at customizing courses for clients. Her training utilizes participants’ procurement and contracting expertise to help participants incorporate real-world solutions they can take back to their offices and apply.
Kara has trained municipal and provincial/territorial employees on procurement issues across Alberta, BC, Yukon and Saskatchewan. She has been on the faculty for the Advanced Certificate in Public Procurement Law and Practice at Osgoode Law School, Continuing Education in Toronto, Canada, and National Educational Consulting Inc. (NECI) based in Victoria.
